A Subject Area is the subject you are interested in. There are five Subject Areas: Digital Marketing, Digital and IT Skills, Leadership and Management, Creative Digital plus Basic Skills English/ESOL, and Maths. From each Subject Area there is a choice of units and courses that you can choose from, offered at entry level plus levels 1, 2 or 3.
That will depend on the level and type of course you decide to go for. A unit at Level 1-2 requires 30-hours of study time, which can be completed within 2 to 6 weeks. A unit at level 3 study time varies according to the subject and it can be between 20-60 hours study.
Courses can take a little longer as they include more than one unit; in addition for level 1 awards, it is mandatory to complete a Study Skills unit plus 2 more units; this would take 90 hours study which can be completed 4-12 weeks. Level 2 courses take around 60 hours study. You can find all this information form the ‘All Courses’ button click on ‘Choosing a course or a unit’.
As learning is online, it will be available to you 24/7 from the moment you are registered. We do recommend completing the courses within the recommended time.
