Our Basic Skills Entry Level 3 courses are for learners who need to develop or brush up on their English and Maths Skills. Our English courses will help you with your speaking and listening skills to improve your communication in everyday-life and at work. Our Maths courses will help you with numeracy skills, spreadsheets, using and compiling graphs.

The level of a unit or course indicates how difficult it is to achieve and your qualification certificate will show the level you have reached

Entry Level (basic skills)

Maths, English and ESOL courses are offered principally at Entry level 3. Entry Level Qualifications in Maths  are for those who wish to improve their core mathematical skills. Basic skills English will help learners with their reading in English. ESOL Skills for Life Qualifications are for learners living in the UK for whom English is a second or additional language and are designed to improve listening and speaking skills  to help people at work and in daily-life activities.

Level 1 (beginner)

Our Level 1 courses are for those who want to start developing new skills to help at work, or to build new knowledge in a new area to shift their career pathway.  We currently offer various courses and units in ‘Digital and IT Skills’  and ‘Creative Digital’. For example if you want to learn more about data and cybersecurity or be able to to create a beautiful website, look at one of our courses or units at Level 1.

Levels 1 units are made up of 1 to 4-credits, and each credit is equivalent to 10 study hours. A 3-credit unit requires 30-hours of study time. You can complete a level 1 unit within 2 to 6 weeks.  

Level 1 courses are made up of 9-credits, requiring 90 study hours. Our online platform allows you to manage your study time flexibly to complete the course in a way that suits you. We suggest completing a course within 6 to 12 weeks.

Level 2 (intermediate)

Our Level 2 courses are for those with basic knowledge within their chosen subject to develop their skills and insight. If you have been out of education for a while, but have a foundation of knowledge in the chosen subject area.

The skills will help you be more productive at work and attain better pay or have more responsibility. You can take the next steps at work to lead a digital change project, to use data to assess the impact of Covid on market demand or plan workforce organisation. Choose a full course or a unit from Digital Marketing, Digital and IT Skills, Leadership and Management, and Creative Digital.  

We offer individual units, as well as full awards at Level 2. These qualifications are for learners with basic knowledge within their chosen subject.  

Levels 2 units are made up of 1 to 4-credits, and each credit is equivalent to 10 study hours. A 3-credit unit requires 30-hours study time. We suggest completing a level 2 unit within 2 to 6 weeks.  You gain a Certificate when you complete a Unit.  

Level 2 courses are made up of 6-credits on average, requiring 60 study hours. Our online platform allows you to manage your study time to complete the course in a way that suits you. We suggest completing a level 2 course within 4 to 10 weeks.  

Level 3 (advanced)

Level 3 is for those with some knowledge in their chosen field. These units are designed to give you the opportunity to develop skills and to improve your career prospects. You can become who you want to be: a data analyst, a digital marketer or a team leader.[The training can improve your job prospects].  [From a pathway you can select] Choose a unit [or combination of units to gain a Certificate] from Digital Marketing, Digital and IT Skills or  Leadership and Management.

Levels 3 units are made up of 3 or 6-credits, and each credit is equivalent to 5 study hours, so a 3-credit Unit would require 15-hours study time. We suggest completing a Level 3 unit within 2 to 4 weeks. You will receive a certification on completion.
